Henry is 5!!!!

Posted by Picasa
Today June 29th, 2011 our sweet Henry turned 5!  I can't believe how fast the past 5 years have gone!  He is   truly the funniest little boy around.  He does nothing but makes us laugh all the time.  He is truly a hoot!  He loves to entertain everyone that is around.  He is also one of the sweetest little boys around town.  I love his sweet personality.  I guarantee you there is no other like him.  We would not change a thing about our Henry. What he loves to do more than anything is play with his toys all alone.  He will sit in the floor forever and play and talk to his toys!  We love to just sit back and listen.  We love you so much Henry and love your sweet, funny personality!  You have brought so much joy, laughter, and excitement to our family!  I hope and pray that we celebrate many many more birthdays!

Things that Henry is into or loves to do:
-play with his men (all types, power rangers, WWE wrestlers, star wars, etc..)
- play with animals
-play with musical instruments
-play any and all types of sports, especially in the backyard with your brother and daddy
-play wrestle with your brother
-love all over your little brother Foster
-play with your cousins

I think one of the funniest things that you said all year was that you wish your name would have been Jenkins so that people could call you "Old Man Jenkins".  This was one of many hilarious things that came out of your mouth.  I just want to make sure we always remember that, and I really don't think we will ever forget!  Keep on making us smile and laugh with your contagious personality!!

Stone Mountain

A couple of weekends ago we went to Stone Mountain. We went to spend the afternoon there and to see their new laser show. The boys had a blast. They really love the sky hike. That was their favorite. Henry was tall enough to do it this time, but was pretty unsure. I think that if he does it again he will love it. We had a great afternoon!

Walker doing his hand stand, he is getting pretty good!

Treehouse Progress

Daddy has been comig down here a good bit to work on the tree houses. He is coming right along. The only thing left at this point is the sides! The boys are super excited and can't wait to see it all finished. They want to pimp this treehouse out. They are wanting carpet, couch, and a tv.....crazy boys! Pop has spent a lot of time in the hot, hot sun working on these houses for the boys. They have a wonderful Pop!!!

Day 2 of New Orleans

We did a little more walking but it was so hot!  We ended up at an Oyster Bar, and yes New Orleans has the best oyster's by far!  They were delicious.  Then we just ended up having a few drinks out and about.  We had such a wonderful time on this trip!  We have to go on more weekend get aways together.  We enjoyed just being each other's side kicks all weekend!  Not sure where we will go next but we have to plan something else for sure!  Last but certainly not least I have to give Pop and Gran Jan a HUGE thank you for coming up for the weekend to watch the boys.  They had a blast hanging out with them all weekend.  I never worried about them for one second because I knew they were getting lots and lots of loving!  Thanks so much!!!

Catholic Church

Lots of street entertainers...crazy man stood like this for hours not moving in the hot hot sun!  Better him than me!

I wish I could do this!  This porch was beautiful!!!

New Orleans Trip- Day 1

Eric and I took a little weekend trip to New Orleans a couple of weekends ago.  Eric had to be there Sun-Tues for work, so we decided to make a weekend of it and caught an early flight Friday morning and arrived in New Orleans around 9:00.  We spend all day Friday just walking around downtown checking things out and spent a majority of our day at Pat O'Brien's sitting in the courtyard drinking there famous Hurricanes.  We had a blast just catching up on some uninterrupted conversation.  We ate dinner this night with Eric's boss, Kyle and his wife Sarah.  They are super wonderful people and I was so glad that I finally got to meet him.  We had a fabulous dinner and great wine!!!  Fun times!

Exactly what I pictured

Our first stop Friday morning was Cafe Du Monde.  We heard that we just had to go here for their Beignets. They were delicious and very filling!

Mississippi River

Local Musicians were my favorite part of New Orleans, yes it topped the food in my opinion!

We loved the courtyard here, very peaceful!

Bourbon Street was far more crazy then I even imagined.  Never even knew such a thing could exist! We just had to go check it out Friday night and man oh man....its wild!  I couldn't even imagine what it is like during Mardi Gras!  It was packed the weekend we were there with all the traditions you hear of going on....not our favorite spot for sure!  We ventured out to Frenchman street which was about a 20 min walk, where all the locals hang out.  That was by far our favorite hangout.  Lots of great bars, with great live bands everywhere!

Some of the most beautiful flower boxes I have ever seen!
